85% of the world’s wetlands have been wiped out…

…noted Valerie Courtois, director of the Indigenous Leadership Initiative, from the recent UN Biodiversity Assessment Report. One quarter of what’s left is in Canada’s boreal forests, much of it on indigenous land. Only 15% left.
