Mysterious Gray Whale Pacific Coast Deaths

Thirty-one Gray whales have mysteriously turned up dead on North American west coasts since January of this year. In the year 2000, 86 died in a similar manner. Scientists suspect starvation, as most were young whales and looked suspiciously undernourished.

The total estimated world population of gray whales is 27,000.
