ARABIAN PENINSULA’S ENDANGERED WILDLIFE…

There are several species (or sub-species) of wildlife listed as endangered or critically endangered, including the Arabian Leopard, Arabian Tahr, Green turtle, Hawksbill turtle to list the more seriously threatened. Threats include overgrazing, poaching, oil spills and off-road driving…

The seas around the Arabian Peninsula abound with a variety of fish species, and several important parts of the region are important migratory bird stops on the way north and south.

Much more needs to be done to improve the general conservation effort in many of these countries that share the Arabian Peninsula!
