Federal regulators are seeking a ban to stop people from swimming with or otherwise bothering local Hawaii dolphin populations. Regulators say that dolphins are being stressed as they need to be watchful too much of the time as people and tour boats approach close to them.
It has been observed that dolphins have a reduced state of fitness and need rest time like anything else does.
Local dolphin-oriented tourist operators are becoming activists against this proposed swimming ban as it will greatly affect their businesses, they claim.
We say, DOLPHINS FIRST, tour operators second!
