Ontario Provincial Parks staff monitor and ensure the protection of the nesting sites of the seriously endangered Piping Plovers which returned to Wasaga Beach after an absence of several years

Nesting pairs in Canada can be counted in the low twenties to a couple of hundred depending on the location.

It seem easy to set a little beach area aside for these pretty little birds!
