Only about 25,000 lions left in Africa…

At the end of World War Two there were an estimated 450,000 lions in the wild in Africa, now down to an estimated 25,000 total African population. Trophy hunting (as above) , human encroachment , farming, sub-division development, scarcer prey, illegal poaching,  lack of government support- all these have helped to reduce the populations to 5.5% of the post war numbers.

This is not going well at all!

DO WE CARE? Do we care enough?
